Custom A clarinet from V series that features wider tone hole width, tapers and undercuts for a warm, round tone with an abundance of rich overtones. It blends easily with other instruments, yet is equally suitable for solos, with a remarkably resonant tone that is full of life. Each tone hole is individually hand-tapered and undercut for optimum tone quality, intonation, and uniform response throughout the instrument's range. Integral tone holes are carved directly into the body of the instrument, achieving uniform resonance and response as well as rich tone colour. The bridge key design eliminates damage to the bridge key mechanism, and the body materials are hand-crafted from prime grenadilla wood for optimum stability. The taper inside the bell is more open to provide for a round, full sound. The clarinet further features 17 silver-plated nickel silver keys and 6 rings, a 65mm barrel, machined and polished bore, a fixed thumb rest, the Yamaha 4CM ebonite mouthpiece with silver-plated cap and ligature, blue steel needle spring type, Lucien deluxe double skin pads and threaded posts.
