Parliament

Parliament, formed in 1968 by George Clinton, was a leading force in the P-Funk movement. Emerging from an earlier vocal group, the band became known for its funk-driven, commercial sound with inventive horn arrangements, synthesizers, and bold stage theatrics. Parliament blended Afrofuturist themes with irresistible grooves, delivering major hits like Give Up the Funk and influential albums such as Mothership Connection.
