Maroon 5
Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, known for their catchy melodies and chart-topping hits. The current lineup features lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Levine, keyboardist and guitarist Jesse Carmichael, guitarist James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton, and bassist Sam Farrar. The group originally formed in 1994 as Kara's Flowers while its members were in high school, releasing an independent album before rebranding as Maroon 5 in 2001.
Their breakout album, Songs About Jane, was released in 2002 and produced major hits like Harder to Breathe, This Love, and She Will Be Loved, establishing them as major players in pop music. The band has since released several successful albums, including It Wont Be Soon Before Long, Hands All Over, Overexposed, V, Red Pill Blues, and Jordi, with standout singles such as Makes Me Wonder, Moves like Jagger, One More Night, Sugar, and Girls Like You. Maroon 5 has won multiple awards, including a Grammy for Best New Artist, and is recognized for their dynamic blend of pop and rock sounds.
With over 135 million records sold worldwide, Maroon 5 ranks among the best-selling music artists of all time. Their eighth studio album, Love Is Like, is expected in 2025.
