King Diamond

King Diamond is a Danish heavy metal band founded in 1985 by vocalist King Diamond, alongside guitarists Andy LaRocque and Michael Denner, bassist Timi Hansen, and drummer Mikkey Dee, following the breakup of Mercyful Fate. Known for their theatrical style and haunting concept albums, King Diamond has seen over fifteen lineup changes, with King Diamond and Andy LaRocque remaining the core members throughout the band's history. The current lineup also includes guitarist Mike Wead, drummer Matt Thompson, and bassist Pontus Egberg. Their discography features twelve studio albums, most of which are built around detailed horror stories, with highlights including Abigail and Them. After an influential run in the late eighties and early nineties, the band paused briefly before returning in 1994. Since their last album in 2007, King Diamond has continued to tour and maintain a strong presence in the metal scene, with fans eagerly anticipating more new music.
