The S3 pickup for Strat™ style guitars has a new stacked design, high output, and is extremely quiet. This single coil pickup is similar to the S1, but has a solid cover cap giving it a classic EMG look. It is perfect for complementing high output humbuckers in the same guitar. The S3 features a prominent mid-range while the low frequency response is clear, rich, and powerful. Passive guitar pickups now include EMG's solderless wiring kits and are fully shielded to minimize hum. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise.
