Der Weg einer Freiheit is a German extreme metal band from Würzburg, founded in 2009 by guitarist and songwriter Nikita Kamprad and vocalist Tobias Jaschinsky. After two early albums and Jaschinsky’s departure, Kamprad assumed vocal duties. Joined by guitarist Nico Rausch, bassist Nico Ziska and drummer Tobias Schuler, the band has released multiple acclaimed albums on the Season of Mist label, including Stellar, Finisterre and Noktvrn. Blending black metal with a modern approach, their music stands out for its atmospheric complexity and introspective themes, moving beyond traditional boundaries of the genre. The band has toured widely and performed with artists such as Wolves in the Throne Room, The Ocean and Heaven Shall Burn.
