Blitzkrieg is a British band that emerged from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. In Germany, Blitzkrieg was a punk band that later became Boskops. The name was also used by the symphonic death metal band Therion from Sweden and by the German progressive rock band Wallenstein in their early days, including for their first album. Notable uses of the pseudonym include Betty Blitzkrieg, the stage name of German rock musician David Sobol, and K. K. Blitzkrieg, an alias of Farin Urlaub, guitarist of Die Ärzte.
