Norah Jones, born Geethali Shankar in 1979, is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter and musician. Rising to international fame with her 2002 debut album Come Away with Me, she blended jazz, country, blues, folk, and pop, earning five Grammy Awards and selling over 27 million copies worldwide. Recognized as Billboard's top jazz artist of the 2000s, Jones has collected ten Grammy Awards and achieved platinum status for her follow-up albums Feels Like Home, Not Too Late, and The Fall. In addition to her musical success, she made her acting debut in the film My Blueberry Nights. Jones is the daughter of renowned Indian sitarist Ravi Shankar and the half-sister of musicians Anoushka and Shubhendra Shankar. As of 2023, she has sold more than 53 million records globally.
