The Yamaha TF-3 is a professional digital mixing console featuring 24 analogue D-PRE microphone preamp inputs and a maximum of 48 channels including digital sources. Its TouchFlow Operation touchscreen interface makes complex routing and processing accessible to engineers of all experience levels, while the onboard DSP delivers studio-quality sound in demanding live environments.

Input and Output Architecture

Twenty-four analogue D-PRE inputs combine with 2× 2TR stereo returns and USB audio to reach up to 48 channels. Sixteen XLR outputs cover main mixes, monitor sends, and auxiliary outputs. The 34 × 34 multitrack USB interface enables simultaneous recording and virtual soundcheck directly from a DAW.

DSP and Dynamics

Every channel features parametric EQ and 2 dynamics processors. Eight FX buses host reverb, delay, chorus, and other effects from a comprehensive library. Ten graphic EQs cover the output buses, while the 1-Knob Compressor and 1-Knob EQ functions allow rapid adjustments without deep menu navigation.

Bus Structure and Scene Management

Twenty AUX buses — 8 mono and 6 stereo — provide extensive monitor and effects send routing. The GainFinder function visually guides engineers to optimal gain settings. Scene memories store and recall complete console states for fast changeovers between acts or events.

Software and Expansion

A Steinberg Nuendo Live licence is included for full multitrack live recording. USB-B connects to a DAW computer for virtual soundcheck workflows.
