The Yamaha TF-RACK delivers the mixing engine of the TF-1 in a compact 2U rackmount enclosure, making it the ideal solution for fixed installations, broadcast racks, and touring rigs where front-panel fader operation is replaced by software or tablet-based control. Its 16 inputs and 40-channel mixing capacity match the TF-1, with expansion to 64 inputs and outputs available via optional Dante networking.

Inputs and Outputs

Sixteen XLR/6.3 mm combo input connectors accept microphone and line signals. Outputs comprise 8 XLR (outputs 1–8) and 8 × 6.3 mm jack (outputs 9–16), alongside stereo RCA inputs for additional playback sources. The 7-inch multi-touch TFT screen and TouchFlow Operation provide direct on-unit control when required.

DSP and Processing

The complete TF-series DSP is onboard: parametric EQ and 2 dynamics processors per channel, 8 onboard effects, 10 graphic EQs, and 20 AUX buses (8 mono + 6 stereo). GainFinder and scene memory functions carry over from the front-of-house TF-series consoles for consistent operation across the whole system.

Expansion and Dante

USB connectivity supports multitrack recording at 34 × 34 channels. Dante expansion — available via the optional NY64-D card — extends the system to 64 inputs and 64 outputs over Ethernet, enabling integration into large-scale networked audio infrastructures.
