Dual Bevel Angles

The B-File incorporates two purpose-built angles: the 23° angle provides the ideal bevel on fret ends for all playing styles, while the 3° angle serves for initial filing, fret sprout removal, flush filing, and tang removal. Both angles were developed in close collaboration with top guitar repair shops to meet real-world luthier standards.

2 'n 1 File Design

The fully adjustable and replaceable 6" (15 cm) high carbon-steel file features a 2 'n 1 design with two distinct cutting surfaces. The Double Cut side delivers aggressive material removal with a coarse finish, while the Single Cut side provides fine removal and a smooth cut. The combination is compatible with all fret wire types, including nickel silver, EVO gold, and stainless steel.

Fretboard-Centered Handle

The ergonomic handle, crafted from high-quality Acacia hardwood, features a curved radius underside of 9.5" that spans the full width of the fretboard. This keeps the file stable and centered during the entire filing process, ensuring consistent bevel angles across the full length of the fretboard regardless of its radius.

Built-In Instrument Protection

The high carbon-steel file is treated with an anti-rust coating for long-lasting durability, and all four edges are polished smooth to prevent accidental scratching of the instrument's finish. A deeper channel recess in the handle allows the file to clear the guitar body when working on fret ends near the sound hole of acoustic guitars.
