Sleek, lightweight controller that represents the simplest and best way to create dynamic, expressive performances in Ableton Live or any music software, and was designed specifically for live applications. The iconic Launchpad got a total overhaul: this model is enhanced with RGB LED feedback, and velocity and pressure-sensitive pads, bringing limitless expression and creativity to the music. It features 64 RGB backlit velocity and pressure sensitive button grid, 32 RGB backlit round mode buttons and one setup button. In Note Mode, the controller automatically switches the layout for drum or instrument devices. For drums, all sounds spread across the whole grid, on velocity and pressure-sensitive pads which allow creating expressive beats. For instruments, the grid illuminates as a chromatic keyboard, so user can easily play notes, melodies and chords. The grid can be used to play any of the music software and external hardware too – with Standalone Mode. The controller also provides slick, immediate access to all mixer controls mid-performance. There is no need to enter a separate mixer mode; simply press and hold a mixer function button (like mute or volume), make a change, and then release the button to drop straight back into the performance. When pressing the Note and Shift buttons, the device switches to Scale Mode. The pads automatically assign themselves to the notes of one of 32 keys and modes, making it impossible to play out of key. Seven Overlap options enable the relative positioning of notes on each row to be offset, while Chromatic 4th Mode keeps the pads assigned to the chromatic series but highlights the notes of the selected scale or mode within it. It comes with everything that is necessary to get started, including cables and the Ableton Live Lite 9 software, and can be bus-powered over USB.
