The AT5045's novel rectangular capsule design increases diaphragm surface area compared to conventional circular small-diaphragm capsules of the same width, resulting in higher sensitivity and improved low-frequency response. This geometry also contributes to the microphone's remarkably low self-noise of just 7 dB SPL (A-weighted).

Flat, Extended Frequency Response
