Jurassic 5 is an American alternative hip hop group from Los Angeles, featuring rappers Charles Stewart (Chali 2na), Dante Givens (Akil), Courtenay Henderson (Soup or Zaakir), Marc Stuart (Marc 7), and DJs Mark Potsic (DJ Nu-Mark) and Lucas Macfadden (Cut Chemist). Emerging from the influential Good Life venue, the six-member group became known for their upbeat sound and tight vocal harmonies. They disbanded in 2007 after releasing the album Feedback, but reunited in 2013 and have since performed together and released new music. The members also pursue individual music projects.
