Queens Of The Stone Age

Queens Of The Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age is an American rock band founded in 1996 by Josh Homme, emerging from the Palm Desert music scene after the breakup of Kyuss. Known for their riff-driven sound and experimental approach, the band blends elements of hard rock, blues, electronica, and Krautrock. Homme has remained the constant creative force throughout frequent lineup changes, with long-term members including Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore. QOTSA broke through with their albums Rated R and Songs for the Deaf, collaborating with notable musicians such as Dave Grohl and Mark Lanegan. Their later works, including the acclaimed ...Like Clockwork, Villains, and In Times New Roman, have continued to earn critical and commercial success. The band is recognized for Homme's signature falsetto vocals and innovative guitar work and has received multiple Grammy nominations, establishing them as a defining force in modern rock music.
