Final damar varnish. Damar varnish is a mixture of turpentine and damar resin (1:3 ratio). It forms an almost non-yellowing waterproof layer. Damar varnish dries faster than mastic varnish and is also non-sticky.

It is applied to the work, which is in a horizontal position, with a brush, airbrush or other atomizer. Before painting, the painting must be. completely dry. The varnish dries for up to 3 days after application. Removing the varnish can be easily done with rectified turpentine oil, the paint layer will remain intact.

It can also be used to add to oil paints to give a glossy enamel character and smooth finish.
