- From the drop-tuned rage of “Bad Horsie” to the opulent harmonic sustain of “For the Love of God,” this channel offers versatile overdrive and distortion tones.
- Channel Blue (Clean):
- Tube Configuration:
- The VAI module features two 12AX7 preamp tubes, ensuring rich harmonic performance.
- Cathode Select Switch:
- A three-position switch allows you to configure the input tube bias setting for optimum input gain and bass response.
- Choose from three popular combinations:
- Setting 1: USA voiced modules (1.5K resistor and 22uF capacitor).
- Setting 2: British style modules (2.7K resistor and 0.68uF capacitor).
- Setting 3: Steve Vai’s preferred setting (1.8K resistor and 1uF capacitor).
- Dual/Single Switch:
- Use this switch to adapt the module for older Egnater and Randall hardware.
- Set to Dual when using the module in units that have the switching circuit to access both channels.
- Set to Single for single-channel-only amps/preamps (top channel of the module activates when selected).
