Wireless Freedom for Any XLR Microphone

The Sennheiser XSW-D XLR Base Set is the simplest way to make any dynamic XLR microphone wireless. Plug the female XLR transmitter onto the mic, plug the male XLR receiver into the mixer, camera or active speaker, press one button, and the audio link is live. No menus, no frequency coordination, no cables to trip over. This set is the right starting point for singers, presenters and videographers who already own a favourite microphone and want to free themselves from the cable without sacrificing sound quality.

What Sets the XS Wireless Digital Apart

What makes the XSW-D XLR Base Set different from typical analog wireless systems is its 2.4 GHz digital transmission with aptX Live codec. The digital path keeps latency below 4 ms and pushes the signal-to-noise ratio above 106 dB, so the wireless feed sounds essentially indistinguishable from a wired connection. A single receiver can switch between up to five transmitters in turn, letting one favourite microphone roam between stage, FOH and a camera without re-pairing.

The system operates license-free on the global 2.4 GHz band (2400–2483.5 MHz), making it ready to ship anywhere in the world without frequency paperwork.

Power and Charging

The XSW-D XLR Base Set is not battery-supplied in the traditional sense; both transmitter and receiver run on internal rechargeable Li-Ion cells (3.7 V, 0.85 Ah) that recharge via USB.

• A full charge gives you up to 5 hours of operation, which easily covers the sound check and the encore.

Connectivity and Physical Design

Designed to disappear on stage or on camera, the plug-on transmitter and receiver are slim, lightweight and built from sturdy plastic. Both ends use standard XLR connectors, so any dynamic mic and any mixer or camera with an XLR input becomes part of the wireless path.
