7-string electric bass guitar from Bass Workshop series that features an absolutely unique look and construction, combining both the fretted and fretless parts on one neck: the first three fretless strings are flat-wound and designed to cover the lower register which is covered again by the other four round-wound fretted strings. Body of the instrument is made of mahogany with stunning poplar burl/ash top. The 7-piece neck with a slim grip shape is made of maple/walnut/purpleheart wood combination, ensuring extreme rigidity and increased sustain. The fingerboard is also made of two parts: jatoba wood is used on the fretted, featuring special inlay and medium frets, whole the fretless part is made of purpleheart. Scale length is 864 mm, fingerboard radius is 950 mm and nut width is 63 mm. The bass guitar is equipped with three pickups: two SRAS Super J Ashula passive pickups that produce the sound of the fretted part and were specially designed for this model, providing a clear, bright and rich dynamic tone, plus the AeroSilk piezo pickup system that generates the sound of the fretless part, enhancing the acoustic and wooden sound of similar to an upright bass. The desired sound can be selected via 3-way pickup selector (Piezo/Mix/Magnetic) which offers various tonal possibilities that inspire musical creativity and curiosity. The bass guitar further features two bridges: the AeroSilk MR5 as a part of the piezo system, and the Mono-rail V bridge with 16mm string spacing.
